What I do
Why it works
-
Babassu Butter
Rich in Vitamin E that helps in supporting and stimulating growth of existing collagen and elastin, helping skin stay supple and look and feel younger. Highly moisturising, it helps improve skin texture. It also contains antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that reduce bacteria causing acne, as well as keeping wounds clean and encouraging wound healing.
-
Argan Oil
Anti-oxidant activity in Argan oil helps protect skin against free radical damage caused by the sun, also preventing burns and hyperpigmentation. Abundant in Vitamin E - a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps improve water retention in the skin. Also very effective for inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and rosacea.
-
Lactic Acid
Increases cell turnover and helps eliminate accumulated dead skin cells on the epidermis by gently shedding the buildup. Helps soften and smoothen skin while improving overall texture and tone. Helps unblock and cleanse pores and also in smoothing surface wrinkles.
FAQ's
Everything you wanted to know but just didn't want to ask!
How long do I leave Barely There on for?
Barely minutes 😋 We're all about the fast and lazy life! Barely there is an in-shower cleanser AND moisturiser, so you simply apply and massage all over your body, rinse off, and you're done! Bonus points if you top it off with Under Your Skin, hello sleek limbs all day everyday 😍
Can I use it to shave my legs?
Yes! Barely there pretty much functions as a foaming cream soap and a moisturiser, making it ideal to shave smoothly, while also moisturising and protecting your skins moisture barrier!
What is the difference between a body conditioner and body wash?
A body wash (Shimmy Yay) focuses on cleansing and rehydrating the skin, to make it simpler, it basically contains oil in soap, but a body conditioner (Barely There) contains soap in oils and butters, so while it cleanses, it's main focus is moisturising your skin.
How long does Body Conditioner last?
Barely There is a topical cream based soap, which is washed off almost immediately, even so, the smoothness of your skin lasts for about an hour or two, but when topped off with Under Your Skin, you're ready for a whole day of kicking ass 💪🏻
Can I use Barely There instead of a lotion?
If your skin is extremely dry, we'd recommend some additional moisturising like Body Milk if not Under your Skin, but if it falls under normal skin type, absolutely! Especially during the rainy seasons, you're set 😁
